Uncompromising Korean BBQ
Our chefs are artisans of fire and meat. From the precise marbling of our Wagyu Select to the overnight fermentation of our house-made banchan, every detail is a labor of love and traditional technique. We use natural lump wood charcoal, ignited well before you arrive, providing an intense heat that sears perfectly while infusing every cut with primeval smokiness.
The Origin
Moran Korean BBQ opened on Potter Street, Waterloo, with a clear conviction: Sydney deserved an authentic Korean BBQ house that refused to take shortcuts. No compromises on natural charcoal, prime cuts, or the 반찬 spread that lands before you even inspect the menu. From our very first evening in July 2026, our coals have never gone cold.
The Culinary Craft
Our culinary showcase revolves around premier cuts of beef and pork—꽃살 (wagyu chuck flap tail celebrated for its flower-like marbling), 삼겹 살 (thick-cut pork belly crisping to a golden char), 갈비 (marinated short ribs delicately scored in traditional diamond patterns), and beyond. Every selection is chosen for its mouthfeel, marbling, and transformative reaction over live fire. We do not offer Sydney's cheapest Korean BBQ—we offer its most authentic.
